Pro・media ST-SSP

Cultivation in the container of the wiping inspection kit, simultaneous testing for coliform bacteria and E. coli.

"Pro・media ST-SSP" is an enzyme substrate medium specifically designed for simultaneous testing of coliform bacteria and E. coli using SWAB TEST and Swabstar. It is sterilized and does not require any preprocessing such as medium preparation or test tube setup. The determination is made by the inner liquid turning blue for coliform positive and by exposing it to a black light BL-365N (λ365nm) for E. coli positive, which causes the liquid to fluoresce. Please feel free to contact us if you have any inquiries. 【Features】 ■ X-GAL・MUG medium specifically for SWAB TEST and Swabstar ■ Can be cultured in containers for SWAB TEST and Swabstar ■ Reduction of costs and waste volume *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Chromogenic Agar for Staphylococcus aureus

The colonies of Staphylococcus aureus turn violet! They can be clearly distinguished from other bacteria.

Our company offers various selective enrichment media for "Staphylococcus aureus," the bacteria responsible for food poisoning. This medium is an enzyme substrate medium for the selective isolation of Staphylococcus aureus. The colonies of Staphylococcus aureus appear purple on this medium, allowing for clear differentiation from other bacteria. Since the determination criteria are based solely on the color of the colonies, anyone can easily identify Staphylococcus aureus. We also have prepared living media available. Please use them according to your needs. For more details, please refer to the catalog below.

Chromogenic Agar Listeria for Listeria monocytogenes enzyme substrate medium

It colors blue with a white halo! It can be clearly distinguished from other fungi.

Our company offers various enzyme substrate media for "Listeria monocytogenes." This medium is an enzyme substrate medium for the selective isolation of Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria monocytogenes forms blue colonies with a white halo, making it easy to identify. Additionally, this medium is a selective isolation medium listed in the standard testing method for Listeria monocytogenes. It has been confirmed to comply with ISO 11290 by the third-party certification body AFNOR. In addition to this medium, we also offer Palcam agar medium and buffered Listeria enrichment broth, so please feel free to contact us. For more details, please refer to the catalog below.

Candida

For the acceleration and labor-saving of inspections!

We propose the enzyme substrate medium "Chromagar Candida," which can differentiate the three main pathogenic species of the Candida genus (C. albicans; green, C. tropicalis; dark blue with a blue halo, C. krusei; pink rough type) based on colony color and morphology. This medium can also be used for color differentiation of other frequently isolated species, such as C. glabrata (purple) and C. parapsilosis (cream color). The ability to differentiate and isolate major Candida species by color is considered highly useful for successful treatment of fungal infections, taking into account that 1) there are differences in susceptibility to antifungal agents depending on the species, and 2) mixed infections by multiple fungi are not uncommon, especially in immunocompromised cases. We also offer "Chromoslant Candida Color," which is a slant medium version of this medium. Additionally, since filamentous fungi are also targets in fungal testing, we provide "Chromagar Candida / Potato Dextrose Differential Medium," which is suitable for morphological observation of filamentous fungi using potato dextrose agar. For serological diagnosis of candidiasis, we offer the "Chica Fungi Test Candida."

Chromagar Salmonella, an enzyme substrate medium for the isolation and culture of Salmonella.

Salmonella colonies turn purple! Detection is possible regardless of hydrogen sulfide production or non-production.

Our company offers various selective enrichment media for the foodborne pathogen "Salmonella." This medium is an enzyme substrate medium for the isolation and culture of Salmonella. Salmonella colonies develop a purple color, allowing for clear differentiation from other bacteria. Regardless of hydrogen sulfide production, Salmonella colonies will appear purple, enabling the detection of hydrogen sulfide non-producing Salmonella as well. Additionally, we also provide Rapaport-Vassiliadis liquid medium and tetrathionate liquid medium. Please choose according to your needs. For more details, please refer to the catalog below.

Separation culture enzyme substrate medium "Chromagar Candida Plus"

"Chromagar Candida Plus" is an enzyme substrate medium for the isolation and culture of Candida species. It allows for the screening of bacteria based on the color and shape of the colonies.

"Chromoagar Candida Plus" is an enzyme substrate medium for the isolation and culture of Candida species. Candida species are yeasts involved in various infections known as candidiasis, which can affect damaged skin, the respiratory tract, the gastrointestinal system, and the urogenital system. They show a high incidence rate, especially in immunocompromised patients, and can also be a cause of nosocomial infections. Major causative agents of candidiasis include Candida albicans, Candida tropicalis, Candida krusei, and Candida glabrata; however, in recent years, strains exhibiting multidrug resistance to antifungal agents have been isolated, making Candida auris a significant concern. "Chromoagar Candida Plus" allows for the characteristic coloration of Candida colonies, enabling the screening of not only the major Candida species but also C. auris based on the color and shape of the colonies. For more details, please download the catalog or feel free to contact us.
