"Pro・media ST-SSP" is an enzyme substrate medium specifically designed for simultaneous testing of coliform bacteria and E. coli using SWAB TEST and Swabstar. It is sterilized and does not require any preprocessing such as medium preparation or test tube setup. The determination is made by the inner liquid turning blue for coliform positive and by exposing it to a black light BL-365N (λ365nm) for E. coli positive, which causes the liquid to fluoresce.
